NBA All-Star Weekend

Every year, basketball’s elite, celebrities and loyal fans gather for NBA All-Star Weekend. In 2020, Chicago was the host city and AT&T transformed their Michigan Avenue flagship store into the ultimate FanZone. In fact, shortly after the AT&T Slam Dunk Contest, the winner made an appearance at the store to take photos and sign autographs with fans.

Immersive experiences included: interactive games, a Jumbotron with live NBA stats, a selfie Dunk Cam, a recording booth to capture your “Hot Take,” gaming pods to play NBA2K, and a watch lounge showing All-Star game highlights over the years. Motion graphics rotated stats for every NBA and WNBA team on large video walls, and interactive kiosks and display cases showcased “how an NBA game ball is made – right here in Chicago.”

The work was intended to live on through the NBA season, but was cut short with pandemic closures in mid-March.
